"Cold" start to June in Phoenix

The high temperature on June 1st at Phoenix Sky Harbor was 89º, which is well below the average high of 100º. But we aren't going to stop with just comparing it to the average high; let's see just how rare this is for June.

To start, this is the first time we have seen a high temperature below 90º in June since 2018! In fact, since 2000, this is only the third time a high temperature in June has been below 90º.

Going back even further into the record books, examining every June day since 1896, which includes 3,872 days, there have been only 143 days with a high temperature at Phoenix Sky Harbor below 90º, which is only 4% of the days.

If you don't like "cooler" weather, don't worry; the heat will be here soon.
