Phoenix had another "cool" July day, as leftover clouds from a large thunderstorm complex down in Mexico moved over the Valley. The high today (July 20th) at Phoenix Sky Harbor was 97º, which occurred just after midnight. This will go down as the 6th coolest high temperature for the day. However, looking at days without measurable precipitation, it will be recorded as the coolest high temperature for July 20th (tied with 1995 and 1914).

The average high for the day is 106º, with the record being 119º set back in 2023.
