April 11th: Northern Arizona breaks high temperature records

People normally drive northward into the higher elevations of Arizona to escape the heat; however, this afternoon, record heat invaded this cooler part of Arizona as well. Flagstaff hit 76º, breaking the old record for the day of 75º, set all the way back in 1907.

Prescott reached a high of 84º, breaking the old record set last year of 83º. And if you were standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, during the afternoon, you would have felt a high of 90º, which broke the record of 87º set in 2023.
