Layer of smoke spotted over Phoenix

Did you notice the wavy patterns in the sky this afternoon? If so, it's a smoke layer about 13,000 feet off the ground.
While it is always hard to track exactly where the smoke layer comes from since this is smoke from 1,000 of miles away, looking at upper air patterns, the majority of this smoke is from wildfires burning across the western portion of Canada.
