Yuma: Third wettest January 31st on record

As an area of low pressure passed by Arizona to the south, several areas of rain showers circulated through the region. Officially, the rain gauge at the Yuma Marine Corps Air station measured 0.07" of rain today (January 31st), making it the third wettest January 31st on record.
The record wettest January 31st occurred in 1919 when 0.24" of rain fell, with the 2nd wettest being 0.08" in 1926.
The rain today also brings the yearly total to 0.16", which is 0.23" below average.
